I know what it feels like to build a home care service from the ground up.

Before I became a coach and mentor, I was a home care owner and Registered Manager myself.

I remember the excitement of getting the keys to my first office. I remember the pride of seeing the business grow, the joy of building a team, the responsibility of caring for clients and families, and the pressure of wanting to get it right.

I also remember the weight of leadership.

The decisions. The staffing challenges. The responsibility of compliance. The pressure of CQC. The constant thinking. The moments where you can be surrounded by people, yet still feel like you are carrying so much of it alone.

That lived experience now sits at the heart of the work I do through Oak Tree Coaching.

From Home Care Owner to Coach and Mentor

I built and ran my own private client home care service, which went on to achieve Outstanding on both CQC inspections.

But the part I am most proud of is not just the rating.

It is the culture we built.
The relationships we had with clients and families.
The amazing team who cared deeply.
The standards we worked hard to protect.
The reputation we created in our local community.

Over time, I learned that running a successful home care service is not only about systems, policies and compliance. Those things matter, of course they do. But they are only part of the picture.

So much depends on leadership.

How you make decisions.
How you communicate.
How you hold standards.
How you support your team.
How you respond under pressure.
How you stay connected to your values when the day to day demands of the business start pulling you in every direction.

That is why I now support home care owners, Directors and Registered Managers to lead with more confidence, clarity and intention.

Why This Work Matters To Me

I know there are so many home care leaders doing their very best, often with very little space to think.

My work is about giving you space, support and honest reflection, but also practical guidance from someone who understands the sector from the inside.

I am not here to tell you what to do from a distance.
